The Edited House was founded in 2014
From organizing your junk drawer to refreshing your whole house, we edit and refine your space to help reduce stress, improve function and get your home set up to run beautifully.
Tara Scott, founder and lead organizer, has a background in architectural history and preservation, historic property appraisal and house flipping. Tara has always had a penchant for all things home and organization. Her first revelation came when she organized the pantry at the age of 6 and realized that, while the finished result appealed to her love of beauty and symmetry, it also made cooking and grocery shopping easier for her parents.
She founded The Edited House to bring the same joy that she gets from uncluttered, beautiful surroundings, to clients and their homes.
Tara Scott was born in Philadelphia, grew up in New Jersey, and now resides in San Diego, California. Her education includes a BA in psychology from Vassar College and an MS in historic preservation from The University of Texas at Austin, School of Architecture. She is a member of the National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals (NAPO).
