At The Edited House, we pride ourselves on providing customized services. Every project is carefully tailored to the needs of each client, including budget, style and timeline.
Hi! I'm Tara Scott, founder of The Edited House. I've been obsessed with organizing and design for as long as I can remember; some of my fondest childhood memories include organizing my mom's pantry and giving doing makeovers on my friends' rooms. In my "old life", I worked as an architectural historian, historic preservation consultant, and real estate appraiser in Austin, Texas, where my son was born. After moving to San Diego, I worked part-time as an organizer and home stager and volunteered with the PTA while my son was in elementary school.
In 2014, I decided to turn this lifelong love for organizing and design into a full-time business, to bring the same joy that I get from uncluttered, beautiful surroundings, to my clients and their homes.
Tara Scott was born in Philadelphia, grew up in New Jersey, and now resides in San Diego, California. Her education includes an AB in psychology from Vassar College and an MS in historic preservation from The University of Texas at Austin, School of Architecture. She is a member of the National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals (NAPO).
